Richard Lee Wilson, age 48, of Pyro, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015 at his home. Richard was the son of Harold and Betty (Brown) Wilson. He was born in Oak Hill on September 9, 1967.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Wilson; his grandparents, Harry and Grace Wilson and Anderson and Ellen Brown.
Richard had many hobbies, but he enjoyed woodworking, fishing, country music, cooking and the Cleveland Browns the most. He always had a smile and a friendly “hello” for everyone. He never met a stranger and he formed many friendships over his lifetime.
He is survived by his father, Harold (Tuffy) Wilson, of Pyro; sisters, Karen (Terry) McGinnis, of Wellston, Donna Tilley, of Jackson and Charlotte (Brian) Weese, of Pyro; nieces, Samantha McCoy, Stephanie McGinnis and Jessica McGinnis, all of Jackson, Alexis and Marisa Weese, of Pyro; and a nephew, Mark (Ashley) Tilley, of Jackson. Richard is also survived by great nephews, Matt Tilley, Kirk Loudermilk and Elijah Tilley, and a great niece, Ciera Tilley, all of Jackson. He leaves behind cousins, aunts and uncles who will miss him dearly as well as a host of friends.
Richard was an outstanding person, always ready and willing to help family and friends. He will truly by missed.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the Oak Hill Freewill Baptist Church on S.R. 279 with Pastor Burton Neace officiating. Burial will follow in Clay Cemetery.
