Mary Ann (Doles) Cochran, age 79, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015 at her home. She was born February 3, 1936 in Crawford County, Ohio to the late Daniel Benjamin and Ida Rebecca (Barrett) Lohr.
She is survived by husband of 29 years, Bill Cochran; sons: Danny, Carl, Tim, Andy, and Joe Doles; daughter, Becky (Doles) Baker; step-daughter, Dedra Rader; sister, Hazel (Lohr) Wilhelm of Nevada, Ohio; as well as 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Clyde Sanford Doles Jr.; and siblings: Lonnie Lohr, Neil Lohr, and Ellen Smith.
She retired from SEOEMS after 20-plus years. She taught ceramics and did housekeeping for Jackson/Vinton Community Action. She was an arthritis water aerobics instructor in Jackson. She loved painting, photography, knitting, crocheting, and raising her children. She was also a lifetime member of the DAV and supported veterans and veterans organizations.
There will be a Celebration of Life Dinner on Saturday, November 28, 2015 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the DAV building, 170 Pearl Street, Jackson, OH 45640. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
