Joy Ginger Workman, age 73, of Oak Hill, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 6, 2015. She was born August 22, 1942 to the late Charles and Pearl (Foreman) Marshall.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Delano “Corky” Workman; daughters: Joyce (Mike) Barnes, Teresa (Randy) Faye, all of Oak Hill, Ohio and Ann Smith of Jackson, Ohio; grandchildren: Jeremy (Kaylyn) Barnes, Jessica (Derek) Cales, and Justin Smith, all of Jackson, Ohio, Andrea (Andrew) Dees of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Lindsey Midkiff of Jackson, Ohio, Emily(Justin) Hagerty of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Natalie Faye of Oak Hill, Ohio; great-grandchildren: Kaidyn Caudill, Zoey, Ava, and Eli Barnes, Jullian and Haley Cales, Raylin and Calib Smith, and Noelle Dees; as well as her sisters: Mary Bias, Kitty Raines, Penny Hendricks, Tag Williams and Ruth Williams; and a brother, Gene Marshall — all of West Virginia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Crouch; and brothers: John, Jim, Glo, Conley, and Junior Marshall.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Herman Stewart and Pastor Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow at C.M. Cemetery.
