James Andrew Kearns II, age 54, died on July 30, 2015 in his sleep at his home in Naples, Florida. He was born on March 10, 1961 in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was the son of James Andrew Kearns and Emma Jean (Munyan) Kearns.
Jimmy was raised in Jackson and attended Jackson High School. Most remember him from his years of working at Kearns Brothers Automotive. He moved to Florida in the 1980s where he continued working in the automotive business, at Sam Galloway Ford Company and Tamiami Ford, Inc.
Jimmy loved his family, friends and life. He will forever be in our hearts and sadly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Kearns; sons, Juan, Pedro, George and Jose; his brothers, Ronald (Diane), Steve (Judy), and Tom (Sally) Kearns, all of Jackson; sister, Sally Kearns Frankland (Jim), of Jackson; and sister-in-law, Janet Kearns of Jackson.
Also surviving are special nieces and nephews: Davie Kearns, Ronda Kearns Strawser, Krystal Kenton Rawlins, Steven Kearns, Amanda Kearns, and Adrianna Kearns of Jackson; James D. Frankland of California, Markus Kearns of Illinois, Veronica Ryan and Patrick Kearns of Maryland, Naomi Kearns of Oregon and Rachel Kearns of Chillicothe; Jennifer Smith and Lisa Lamano; as well as several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Preceding him in death were brothers, David and James Robert Kearns, and his sister, Maryann Kearns Kenton.
A memorial service was held on August 2, 2015 at Jimmy’s church in Naples, Florida — the Faith Apostolic Church. Graveside services will be held at Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson on August 9, 2015 at 6 p.m.
