Terry Ann Harris, age 60, of Washington CH, passed away tragically on Friday, December 26, 2014 as the result of a house fire.
She was born on December 9, 1954 in Jackson, Ohio to Charles “Buck” and Pearl Gregory Jenkins. She was a 1972 Jackson High School graduate, received her RN degree from Hocking Tech and later became a graduate of Wilberforce University with a degree in Business. She retired from the Ohio Department of Corrections where she worked as a Health Care Administrator. She attended the Burning Bush Church. She loved spending time and being in involved with her grandchildren and all their sporting events, hosting family gatherings and cooking. She was known by many children as “Grandma Terry.”
Terry was preceded in death by four grandsons, Tanner Harris at birth and three grandsons who also perished in the fire with her, Kenyon, Broderick and Braylon Harris and her sister, Lisa Jenkins.
Survivors include her parents; her children Ricky, and his wife Traci Harris and Angie, and her husband Steve Haithcock; grandchildren Hannah, Isaiah and Noah Haithcock; siblings Tom (Sheree) Jenkins, Lorri (Bud) Perry, Brent (Missy) Jenkins, Brad (Brenda) Jenkins, Charles David Jenkins and Cindy (Tim) Case, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Church, 1867 US Rt. 35 NW in Washington CH with Esto Haithcock and Phil Collie officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at the New Holland Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
