Vina Mae Ward, 65, of Ray, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday afternoon, June 25, 2014, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on July 22, 1948. She was a 1966 graduate of Chillicothe High School and a member of the McArthur Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Virginia and James Dunham, and an infant brother.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years and 8 months, Dennis Ward; two sons, Joe Morrison of Chillicothe, Ohio and James (Trisha) Ward of Ray; three grandchildren, Ashton, Blake, and Callen Ward; brother-in-law and his wife, Glenn and Delight Ward of Wellston; and also several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews survive.
Friends may call at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston on Sunday from 4 until 8 p.m. Friends may also call at the McArthur Church of the Nazarene on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Services will be officiated by Pastor William Roth and burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery in Wellston.
