Enid Faye (Hutchison) Stiffler, of Oak Hill, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Monday, May 26, 2014 at the age of 91. She was born December 21, 1922 in Jackson, to the late Bennett and Melinda (Morrow) Hutchison.
Enid was born in Jackson, but spent most of her life in Oak Hill where she was a homemaker, who devoted her life to taking care of her family. She raised three daughters with her husband Eugene Stiffler, whom she married on May 3, 1945. Enid and Eugene enjoyed 50 years of marriage before Eugene’s death on July 23, 1995.
Enid’s greatest joy in life came from her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Enid is survived by her three daughters, Vicki Jo (Mark) Foster, Melinda Jane Lovett and Eugenia Stumbo; her five grandchildren, Robert E. Lovett, Mark J. (Erica) Foster, Jina Beth (Seth) Fields, Stephanie Jo (Jason) Williams and Emily Jane (Brian) Adkins. Also surviving are her nine great-grandchildren, Dylan and Felicity Foster, Andrew Benton, Ryan Purcell, Peyton and Levi Fields, Lacie and Lakin Williams and Mason Adkins; and also a special niece, Rosemary Yates.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with Pastor Dave Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
