Edna I. Mullins, 94, of Hamden, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014 at her residence. She was born April 4, 1920 in Pike County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Enos and Virgie Thacker Bertrand. Edna was the widow of the late John B. Mullins. She attended Maggie’s Home Church in Dundas.
Edna is survived by her daughter, Virgie Rose of Hamden; grandsons, Anthony G. (Judy) Rose and Gary T. (Sandy) Rose, both of Hamden; great-grandchildren, Kelcie Rose of Chillicothe, Ashley Rose of McArthur and Hannah Rose of Hamden; and a sister, Ruby Bailey of North Carolina. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and close friends, whom she cared a lot about.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, John Brent Mullins and brothers, Charlie, Woodrow and Frank Bertrand.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Maggie’s Home Church, Dundas with Elder Donald Mullins and Elder Hank Forgey officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at Maggie’s Home Church on Sunday, one hour prior to the service.
