Lou Wanda Mahan, age 55, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014 at her residence. She was born July 9, 1958 in Mount Sterling, Kentucky to Earl and the late Mae (Harris) King.
She is survived by son, Kevin Mahan, of Oak Hill; daughters, Wanda (Mahan) Reed of Oak Hill, Renee (Chaz) Edwards, of Pomeroy; brothers, Donnie (Cindy) King, and Lannie (Becky) King, both of Fletcher, Ohio, Rick (Brenda) King, of De Graff, Ohio, and Danny (Jesse) King, of Springfield, Ohio; sisters, Linda (Cecil) Swafford, of Wellston, and Joyce Hill, of Perry, FL. Also surviving are grandchildren, Kendra Reed, Nathan Reed, Tiffany Kelley, Erika Reed, Courtney Kelley, Chris Mahan, and Howie Williams; and one great-grandchild, Jersey Layne McDaniels.
In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Mahan; son, “Little” Kenny Mahan; brothers, Robert Thomas, and Clarence Thomas; sisters, Cennie Kloper, Carol Darland, and Nancy Wood.
Lou Wanda was laid to rest Friday, April 18, at Horeb Cemetery. Services were held at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill officiated by Pastor Bryan Mallott and Rev Herman Stewart. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.lewisgillumfuneralhomes.com
