Paul Thomas Stinson, age 87, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Holzer Assisted Living. He was born March 3, 1926 in Williamson, WV to the late Paris and Cuzzie (Wilson) Stinson.
Paul is a Jackson High School graduate and was a long-time Sales Representative for G&J Auto Parts. Paul also served in the United States Marines during World War II. He was a faithful member of Christ United Methodist Church, where he was very involved in church activities.
Paul is survived by daughters, Rachael (Keith) Turner of Powell, Ohio and Patti (Jim) Reynolds of Jackson, Ohio; five grandchildren, Chad (Melisa) Reynolds, Kevin (Molly) Turner, Craig Turner, Robin Reynolds, and Rachael (Alex) Carroll; seven great-grandchildren, Helena Stacy, Katie Carroll, Kelsey Carroll, Lily Reynolds, Lauren Reynolds, Kamille Reynolds, and Abram Reynolds; a sister-in-law, Anna Finch; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Louise (Finch) Stinson; a brother, Arthur Stinson; and sister, Blanche Meirose.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson, Ohio. Friends may call on Friday, December 6, 2013 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Dave Roach and Diaconal Minister Janie Karl officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
