Charles Edward Mullins, age 73, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2013. He was born May 30, 1940 in Pike County, Kentucky to the late John and Janie (Addington) Mullins. He was united in marriage to his wife, Norma Sue Miller on December 20, 1958.
Charles was a mechanic who retired from the Atomic Plant after 25 years of service. He was also a member of Little Flock Old Regular Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon. He was also a borrowed Deacon at Little Pearl Old Regular Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Linda (John) Dailey; sons, Jerry (Jody) Mullins, Jeffrey (Leslie) Mullins, Michael (Kim) Mullins, and Erik (Amy) Mullins; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Martin Mullins and James Mullins; and two sisters, Geneva Proffit, and Vernie Jordan.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Raymond Mullins, Milburn Mullins, Noble Mullins, Truman Mullins, and John Mullins; and three sisters, Dean Beatty, Lillian Childers, and Aileen Mullins.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson, Ohio. Friends may call on Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Buckeye Church Cemetery in Jackson, Ohio.
