Ralph F. “Butch” Bell

Ralph F. “Butch” Bell, age 69, of Jackson, passed away Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at the Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio. He was born June 30, 1944 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of the late William “Bill” Bell and Ruth L. “Granny” Webb Bell. Butch was a 1964 graduate of Wellston High School. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Vietnam era. Butch was a member of the Ohio National Guard and the American Legion Post 371 of Wellston. He was retired from the Conrail Railroad.

Butch is survived by his wife, Jeanne Ann Angles Bell; son, Jonathan (Amanda) Bell of Jackson; step-daughter, Sherri Rhymer of Wellston; daughters, Jennifer Rubio of Las Vegas, Nevada and Lorie Chandler and Amy Gates, both of Moreno Valley, Calf.; sons, Frank (Debbie) Bell and Ralph Bell, both of Moreno Valley, Calf., and all of their families; his little dolls, granddaughters, Kirra and Neavaah; brothers, Bill (Judy) Bell of Chandler, Az. and Jim (Sharon) Bell of Pataskala; sisters, Judy (Don) Dunfee of Chillicothe and Peg (Chris) Barber of Wellston, as well as numerous nieces and nephews across the United States.

Besides his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his grandson, Michael Chandler.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Ervin officiating. Following cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family in the Ridgewood Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion Post 371 of Wellston.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions be given to the McWilliams Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.
