Deborah Lee Seymour Hill, 47, of Wellston, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 29, 2013, from the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born October 13, 1965 in Farmington, Michigan, to Marvin and Sue Grimmett Seymour.
Debbie attended Vinton County High School and received her LPN from Buckeye Hills Vocational School, her RN from Hocking College and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Rio Grande. She was a dedicated wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and nurse. Debbie was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Chapel in Hamden. She loved to sing and play music and she was also a very talented published writer. Debbie was one of a kind and met everyone with a smile. She loved with her whole self and always looked for the good in others. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion; the world was a better place for having had her in it. Her loss will leave behind a deep impact for those who were blessed enough to have met her.
Debbie is survived by her parents, Marvin and Sue Seymour of Hamden; her husband, Damon Hill of Wellston; her children, Michael (Jennifer) Cantrell of Gallipolis and Melinda Cantrell-Matteson of Pt. Pleasant, W.Va.; her children she shared with Damon, Kelly (Stephen) Franco, Bobbie (Hawkeye) Hill, Fawn (Willis) Norton, Missy Thacker, Shane Hill, Damon (Shannon) Hill, Tami Gilliland, Billy Gilliland, Lisa (Craig) Rosetta, Tommy (Jenn) Tucker, Cory (Garry) Hill, Mandy (Roger) Ewing, Bobby Hill, Lee (Jessica) Hill, Casey Good and Larry Queen; sisters, Donna Seymour and Denise Seymour, both of Hamden; nieces, Marie (Brian) Champion and Megan Teeters; nephew, Marvin Seymour II, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, step-grandchildren and all of her dogs and puppies that she dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Richard and Sylvia Green; paternal grandparents, James and Gladys Seymour and her infant nephew, Jared Champion. Calling hours will be Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Byer Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate contributions be given to the McWilliams Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
