William D. Leasure, age 71, of Kettering, Ohio, passed away on Monday, February 11 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born June 28, 1941 to Helen (Merrill) Leasure and the late William E. Leasure.
Bill was a 1959 graduate of Wellston High School where he played football and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wellston, Ohio. Bill liked to work on cars, bicycles and was a jack of all trades. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was an entrepreneur and the owner of Fine Cleaners until he retired in 1997.
Bill is survived by his wife, Donna Ervin Leasure, they were high school sweethearts and married for 53 years; daughter and son-in-law, Tammi and Darryl Meier; his great pride and joy, grandson Sam Meier, all of Oakwood; his mother, Helen (Merrill) Leasure James; brothers, Gary (Rose Mary), Tim (Julie), all of Kettering and Tony (Becky) of Downers Grove, IL; also sisters-in-law, Marsha (and the late Jim Ervin III); Eila (Frank) Eberts, all of Wellston, Ohio; and Bobbi (Jeff) Simmons of McArthur, Ohio; in addition to many beloved nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Services are under the direction of Morris Sons Funeral Home, 1771 E. Dorothy Lane, Kettering, Ohio. Visitation will be Thursday, February 14, from 5 to 8 p.m.; funeral service Friday, February 15 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Will Leasure officiating. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.
