June Lucille (Dickason) Kight, age 90, of Jackson, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013 at Heartland of Jackson. She was born January 13, 1923 in Jackson to the late Shirley and Emma (Rasp) Dickason. She was a 45-year employee as well as assistant manager of GC Murphy’s, a member of the Jackson Christian Church, the soup kitchen and American Legion Auxiliary Post 81.
She is survived by son, Robert (Sharon) Kight of Jackson; daughter, Jill Baldwin of Jackson; sister-in-law, Betty Dickason; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one due at the end of February.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Dickason, in 1994; a daughter-in-law, Becky Kight, in 1995; her husband of 54 years, Charles Kight, in 2000; and a granddaughter-in-law, Lori Zinn, in 2007.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Jackson Christian Church with Pastors Kathryn Loxley and Janie Karl officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson as well as one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Monday.
