Steve R. Sirback, 61, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2012 at OSU Ross Heart Hospital after a long-term illness. He was born July 26, 1951. He was a Viet Nam veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was a Deputy Sheriff in Vinton and Gallia Counties and a Patrolman for the City of Jackson. He was an EMT with S.E.O.M.S. in Gallipolis, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Debbie Paugh Sirback; daughters, Heather Greco of Marysville, Ohio and Allison Chandler of Ashville, Ohio; son, Brandon Sirback of Columbus, Ohio; several grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Violet (Dave) McManis of Rockbridge, Ohio, Donald (Tonnie) Sirback, Becky (Randy) Wilson and Mark (Tina) Sirback all of Jackson, Ohio; several nieces and nephews, Stevie and Joe Sirback, Joey Rapp, Donnie and Rebecca Curtis, Ashley, Mary, Michael and Kayla Sirback, Emily Hecock, Melissa Keck, Kenneth and Davie McManis, Jennifer, Eric and Josh Sirback.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Emma Sirback; brothers, Tex Allen Sirback, Ronnie Sirback and Paul Sirback and sister, Mary Sirback.
Services will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 1 p.m. at New Life Christian Center, 2642 Columbus-Lancaster Road, Lancaster, Ohio 43130, with Pastor Gary Keller. Caring Cremation will follow the services with burial to be at a later date. Friends may visit from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church on Wednesday.
