Peggy Ann McManus, 76, of Hamden, passed from this life Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at the Jenkins Memorial Health Facility. The daughter of the late Harold and Goldie Frazee Sprague, she was born Nov. 6, 1936. Peggy was a retired waitress with more than 30 years of friendly service at the former Lee & Helen’s Restaurant in Wellston.
She is survived by her sons, James (Linda) Stacy of Jackson and Kimber Stacy of Hamden; grandchildren, Jenny, Mandy, Dylan, Tim and Cameron Stacy; and great-grandchildren, Isabella, Blake and Macy Womeldorf. Other survivors include her brother, David (Margie) Sprague of Wellston; a sister, Patsy (Thurman) Garrett of Port Clinton, Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her husband, David McManus; a son, Timothy Stacy; and her brothers, Jack and Junior Sprague, preceded Peggy in death.
Following her cremation, there will be a memorial service Saturday, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the Huntley & Cremeens Funeral Home in Wellston.
