Kenneth L. Munyan, age 65, passed away at Riverside Hospital surrounded by his family on December 6, 2012.
Kenny, as his family called him, was born in Blackfork, Ohio on March 29, 1947. He was the son of Lucille Munyan and the late Kenneth R. Munyan. He married Dorothy (Boots) Evans on July 19, 1965. He enlisted in the Air Force in Ashland, Ky. and was honorably discharged December 5, 1967.
Preceding Kenny in death was his father, Kenny R. Munyan. His surviving loved ones are his mother, Lucille Munyan; his wife, Dorothy (Boots) Munyan; two sisters, Linda McCorkle and RoseAnn Rogers; three daughters, Michelle Massie, Alisha Landrum and Tara Landrum; eight grandchildren, Sloane, Collin and Logan Massie, Chelsea Landrum Ray; Kyle Landrum, Blake French, Brody and Bo Landrum, and three great-grandsons.
“Kenny’s outlook on life is what made him unique, and a celebration that we who loved him will always remember. He was a man of great character, very loving and giving to anyone he knew,” said his daughter Michelle.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill. Calling hours will be held there this Sunday, December 9 from 2 to 6 p.m. and the funeral service will be held there on Monday, December 10 at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the C. M. Cemetery in Oak Hill.
