Gloria Marlene Woodruff, 79, of Chillicothe, died at 12:10 a.m. on December 13, 2012, in The Ohio State University Medical Center.
She was born on December 6, 1933, to the late John W. and Chloe (Crabtree) Rainer. On June 22, 1957, she married Leonard Dale “Jack” Woodruff who survives.
Also surviving is a son, Jack Woodruff, of Frankfort; daughters, Kim (Steve) Bucciferro, of Mechanicsburg, PA, and Lisa (Earle) Davis of Dublin; grandchildren: Steven and Ashley Bucciferro, Sydney Davis, and Jackson Woodruff; a brother, Frankie (Dee Dee) Rainer; sisters, Peggy (Larry) Stapleton, and Sherry (Greg) Smith, all of Oak Hill; brothers-in-law, Arnold (Edna) Woodruff, of Columbus; and Ronnie Woodruff, of Oak Hill; sister-in-law, Phyllis Crabtree, of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by an infant son, Steven Dale Woodruff, and a brother Larry Rainer.
Mrs. Woodruff was as a Registered Nurse for over 34 years, working at Mt. Carmel Hospital, the former Chillicothe Hospital and Adena Regional Medical Center. She loved going shopping, enjoyed decorating and also reading. She attended Walnut Street United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, December 17, at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Slack officiating. A graveside service will be follow at 1 p.m. Monday at C.M. Cemetery, Oak Hill. Friends may call Sunday from 5 -7 p.m. at the Haller Funeral Home.
