Janet A. Jayjohn, age 72, of Wellston, passed away Friday, October 19, 2012, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. She was born November 16, 1939 in Ashland, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Herman Wynn and Helen Darling Wynn Melvin. Janet worked as a teacher and coordinator at Able Learning Center for 20 years.
She is survived by her children, Sherry Bloomfield (Harvey) of Barberton, Oh., William “Bill” Jayjohn of Wellston and Jeffrey Lee Jayjohn (Tanya) of Wellston; daughter-in-law, Christa Jayjohn of Oak Hill; 10 grandchildren, Tracey Crowe (Steve), Renee Bloomfield (John), Brooke Stender, Jeffrey Lee Jayjohn, Jr., Joshua Jayjohn, Stacia Jayjohn, Tyler Jayjohn, Joel Eisnaugle, Jordan Jayjohn and Jodi Beth Jayjohn; eight great-grandchildren, Cain, Chloe, Emerald, Michael, Phoenix, Brice, Carson and Kayden; sister, Andrea Ervin (Melvin) of Wellston; aunts, Jenny Lucas and Maxine Angles, both of Wellston; special friend, Anita Hill of Wellston, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Besides her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Willard “Bill” Jayjohn; son, Jody Jayjohn; great-grandson, Dylan Jayjohn; her brother, Gary Wynn and her step-father, Gene Melvin.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with John Pelletier, CLP officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
