John Ivan Morgan, age 91 of Dublin passed away Saturday morning at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born August 3, 1920 in Jackson County, Ohio. Graduate of Bloomfield High School in 1939. Member of the Vega United Methodist Church, WW II Army S. SGT Battery B, 178th Field Artillery Battalion stationed in Italy (1944-1946). He retired from the State of Ohio Aviation Department and was a highly respected pilot and airplane mechanic. He was a pilot for Ohio Governors Rhodes, Gilligan and Celeste. Founding member of the OX5 Aviation Pioneers Ohio Wing. He loved to farm on weekends, his homestead in Jackson County and restore old tractors. He helped maintain the Dublin Cemetery for years.

Preceded in death by parents: John & Etta (Williams) Morgan; brother: Merrill Morgan; sisters: Bea Gibby and Gerry Jeffery.

Survived by loving wife: Pauline (Caudy) Johnson, whom he married May 20, 1977 in the Dublin Community Church; step-children: Roy (Ruth) Johnson, Danny (Dollie) Johnson, Carla (Chuck) Baldwin and Amy (John) Hall; step-grandchildren: Christine (Marty) Clark, Jason (April) Johnson, Mathew (Mindy) Johnson, Jonathan (Heather) Hall, Daniel Nicholas Johnson and Christopher Baldwin; great-grandchildren: Derek, Morgan and Ella Johnson, Samuel and Aaron Johnson, Haylee Hall, Cheyenne and Shane Baldwin; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Ferguson Funeral Home, 202 E. Main Street, (St. Rte. 161W) Plain City, where the funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, with Rev.
