Maggie Isabel Waldron, 83, of Hamden, passed away Monday, April 23, 2012 at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. She was born July 4, 1928 in Vinton County, daughter of the late Arthur L. and Flora M. Nunnemaker McClaskey. Maggie was the widow of the late Glendon Waldron.
She retired from Huston’s Nursing Home as a nurse after 30 years of service, was the secretary at Vinton County Senior Citizens, attended Hamden United Methodist Church, was a member of RSVP and Care Outreach Volunteer.
Maggie is survived by her daughters, Linda (Ed) Maerker, Gail (Donnie) Worrix, Ann (Darell) Leonard, Kathy (Jim) Williamson and Margie (George) Barlow; stepdaughter, Racine Williamson; son, James L. (Janet) Jividen; stepsons, Melvin (Jane) Waldron and Ray (Barb) Waldron; grandchildren, Mike, Kevin and Michelle Dutcher, Theresa Culver, Radonna Worrix, Erica Rielly, Billy Lewis, Ryann Harmon and Wil Barlow; several step grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a brother, Arthur McClaskey.
In addition to her parents and husband, Maggie was preceded in death by her granddaughters, Deb Worrix and Elizabeth Jividen; five sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Pastor Donald Lamb officiating. Interment will be in Hamden Cemetery, Hamden. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
