Judy I. (Delong) Welch, age 70, of Oak Hill, passed away suddenly Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017 at Holzer Medical Center of Jackson. She was born Sept. 26, 1947 in Oak Hill to the late James and Lena (Angles) Delong.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jason Stover; her husband, Edward Welch and brothers, Bill, Sonny and Jimmy Delong.
She is survived by her children, Worthy (Becky) Stover, Brenda Stover, Heath Stover, Glen Stover, Darrell Dean Nickels, Jr., and Adam Dale Nickels; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Janet Hanson, Karen Edmonds, Geraldine Canter and Mike Delong; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Judy was a caring mother, wife and homemaker. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Friends may call Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow in C.M. Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com
