Edith Eileen Dailey, age 88, of Athens, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at the Four Winds Nursing Facility in Jackson, Ohio. She was born January 23, 1926 in Athens County, Ohio to the late Augustus Calentine and Olive Sams Calentine. Eileen was a homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her son, David Dailey of Wellston; former daughter-in-law, Victoria Dailey of Wellston; grandchildren, Angie Dailey, James Dailey, Randy Dailey and Courtney Dailey Shea, all of Wellston, as well as 11 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Dailey; daughter, Debbie Dailey, son, James Dailey; former daughter-in-law, Margie Dailey; brothers, Homer and Robert, and sister, Beulah.
There will be no visitation. Graveside service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Union Street Cemetery in Athens. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Online condolences can be given to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com
