Mable Louise Potter

Mable Louise Potter, age 89, passed away Monday, June 6th, 2022. She was born December 18th, 1932, in Holcomb, New York to the late David and Mildred (Buck) Davis.

Mable grew up in Nelsonville, Ohio with her parents and nine siblings. She married her husband, Elmer, in 1950. During their 62 years of marriage, they lived in Jackson, Dayton and Chillicothe, Ohio. Mable was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She also had a successful thirty-year career working for Mead Paper in Dayton, Ohio and then Chillicothe, Ohio.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Robert) Brown of Phoenix, Arizona and their children: Tyler and Kevin and their grandchildren; daughter, Pam (Greg Sr.) Dixon of Dayton, Ohio and their son, Greg Jr.; her sister, Jessie Campbell of Nelsonville, Ohio; brother, Paul Davis of Nelsonville, Ohio; brother, Dean Davis of Los Alamos, California; as well as many wonderful and loving nieces, nephews, and their children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Potter, on September 2nd, 2012.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 9th, 2022, from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Argabright officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com
