Patsy Norris Greathouse, age 90, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Morning Pointe, Lexington-East Senior Living in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born January 5, 1932, in Wellston, Ohio, daughter of the late Arta F. Norris and Julia I. Marsh Norris.
Patsy graduated from Wellston High School with the class of 1949. She retired from Wellston City Schools in 1993, where she was an aide in the high school library for many years. Patsy was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wellston, where she was a former Deacon and member of the Ladies Circle. Patsy was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling, listening to music, dining with her friends and attending the annual W.H.S. alumni banquets.
She is survived by son, Robert L. Greathouse of Bradenton, Florida; daughter, Dianne Greathouse Roush (Gregory) of Stewart, OH; granddaughters: Dr. Julie Greathouse Gandee (Graham) of Richmond, Kentucky and Megan Greathouse Haught (Jeremy) of Lexington Kentucky; great-grandchildren: Maddox, Griffin and Marley; step-grandchildren: Rebecca Roush Fisher (Danny) and Christina Roush Graves (John); niece, Linda Christian (Charles) of Lakeland, Florida; great-nephew, Richard Christian; as well as many friends. Besides her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Lawrence E. Greathouse, in 1991.
Calling hours will be Thursday, June 9, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral services will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor John Pelletier officiating. Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
