Billy Eugene Ewing

Billy Eugene Ewing, 59, of Wellston, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022, at his home. He was born July 19, 1962, in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late James and Marilyn (Gilliland) Ewing. Bill was a fun-loving person who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He had a green thumb and a special knack for caring for plants and flowers. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family around bonfires and cooking out. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving family: life partner, Jerri Carpenter; sons: Billy, Jr. and Andrew (Crystal) Ewing; daughters: Cindy (Tommy) Tackett and Misty Ewing; seven grandchildren; brothers: Kenneth and Steve Ewing; sisters: Betty (Charles) Kuhn, Linda Harris, Mary Cox and Brenda Ratcliff; as well as his special friends: Al Ewing and Dale Thacker; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherri Belcher; brother, Charles Ewing; nieces: Violet Ewing and April Harris; and brothers-in-law: Delmar Harris, Sr. and Dwight Ratcliff.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service of 120 W. Broadway St. of Wellston from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Billy’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, with Pastor Wil Gillem officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson.
