Thomas “Tom” Floyd Pelfrey, age 79, of Oak Hill, Ohio passed away Wednesday, Aug. 11, at his home. He was born Feb. 16, 1942, in Rodney, Ohio to the late Fred and Ermel (Gothard) Pelfrey.
He is survived by brothers Wilbur “Jake” Pelfrey, Alvie Pelfrey, and Joe Pelfrey; sister, Geraldine “Gerri” Briegl; daughter, Kim Woods; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews; as well as special friend, Linda Dowdy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William “Ray” Pelfrey and sister, Edith Osborne.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Aug. 14 from 12:45 p.m. – 2 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson, with Masonic services beginning the visitation hour at 12:45 p.m. Funeral ceremonies with military honors will follow beginning at 2 p.m. with Pastor Bill Zink officiating.
