Gene Kelly Boggs, age 58, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2021. He was born May 11, 1963, in Marion, Ohio to Dolley Foster Thacker and the late Harold Thacker, Sr. He was preceded in death by his father; wife: Dana Boggs; and brother: Kenneth Boggs. He was a 1981 graduate of Ridgedale High School in Marion, Ohio. He retired in December of 2019 from the Atlas Industrial Contractors. He was a Millright, proudly belonging to Millrights and Pile Drivers Local 1090.
He is survived by his mother; daughter, Robin Travis; sons: John “Rob” Travis (Tammy) and Justin Travis (Teresa); grandchildren: Lindsey Hensler (Jon), Nicholas Wolford (Janessa), Savannah Bell, Jaymen, Hayleigh and Makenna Travis, Hannah Travis and Jacob Graham; and great-grandchildren: Emmitt and Ellie Hensler. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: David and Barb Boggs, Allen and Vicky Boggs and Kim Thacker, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, 2021, at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with Pastor John Hensler officiating and burial to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
