Norma Jean Holtz

Norma Jean Holtz, age 77, a former resident of Wellston, passed away Friday, Nov. 23, 2018 at the home of her daughter in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. She was born March 15, 1941 in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Norman White and Clara Harper White.

Norma was a former floral designer in Jackson County for over 20 years. Following her retirement, Norma moved to be with her daughter and son-in-law in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, where she loved spending time around their pool and going to the beach. Norma was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wellston, as well as the American Legion Auxiliary Post 371 of Wellston and the VFW Auxiliary Post 9092.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sherryl Jean and Mark Haller of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; brother, Harold James “Jim” White of Wellston; sister, Cynthia Ann Rowland of Lafayette, Indiana; along with several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her step-father, Carl White; her first husband, Eldon E. Ridgeway; and her second husband, Leonard Christopher “Chris” Holtz.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with John Pelletier, CLP officiating.
