Lois Jean Gillespie, age 85, of Jackson, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, July 28, 2018. She was born April 9, 1933 in Cambridge, Ohio, to the late James R. Bundy and Ocie O. Norman Bundy.
Lois was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, as well as a homemaker and former owner, along with her husband, of Gillespie’s Greenhouse. She enjoyed being outside mowing her grass and weed eating, but always took the time to watch her soap operas. Lois was a member of the Winchester Community Church in Bloomfield Township. She is survived by her 4 children, Janice Smith (Jack) of Jackson, Joy Staten of Wellston, Judy Kincaid (Mike) of Ewington, and John Gillespie (Teresa) of Jackson; 7 grandchildren, Holly David Arthur (Francie) of Cincinnati, Nalin Arthur (Megan) of Wellston, Jonathon Staten of Wellston, Joni Staten of Wellston, Micky Kincaid (Lynn) of Jackson, Christy Blackford of South Bloomfield, and Lisa Justice (Greg) of Jackson, as well as 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Holly H. Gillespie in 2007; 4 brothers and 6 sisters.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 A.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home.
