Peggy L. (Rainer) Stapleton, age 75, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 4, 2018 at Holzer Medical Center of Jackson. She was born Sept. 21, 1942 in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late John Rainer and Chloe (Crabtree) Rainer. She was a graduate of Rio Grande College with a degree in Education. She married Larry Stapleton on Oct. 18, 1958 in Oak Hill, Ohio.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Stapleton; daughter, Tammy (Mike) Simmonds; grandson, Josh Simmonds; great-grandchildren: Dylan, Jacob, and Briar Simmonds and their mother, Kim, Gabe Simmonds and his mother, Amanda, and Kyla and Haley Simmonds; sister, Sherry Smith; brother, Frank (DeeDee) Rainer; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Stapleton; grandsons, Ryan Simmonds and Billy Simmonds; sister, Marlene Woodruff; brother-in-law, Jack Woodruff; and brother, Larry Rainer.
