Rick D. Hollback

Rick D. Hollback, age 60, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. He was born in Oak Hill on June 24, 1957 to the late Marlin “Cowboy” Hollback and Nancy (Jones) Hollback.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Susan L. (Copley) Hollback, of Jackson; son, Greg (Samantha) Hollback, of Jackson; daughter, Emily (Ben Blagg) Hollback, of Jackson; brother, Aaron (Susan) Hollback, of Wellston and Yvonne (Jeff) Rohrs, of Marysville, Ohio; sister-in-law, Gwen Hollback of Oak Hill, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Brian Hollback.

He attended the Jackson Christian Church. He was an avid Buckeye fan and car enthusiast. He took a lot of pride and passion in the people of the Oak Hill community. Rick was thoughtful toward his in-laws, work friends, and neighbors, and was very giving of his time and energy. Rick was a great provider and created a loving home for their children. He was truly a selfless person.

Friends may call Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 30, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow in C.M. Cemetery.
