David B. Conley

David B. Conley, age 68, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home in Jackson on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. He was born Dec. 19, 1949 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Williard and Myrtle (Conley) Conley.

David was a 1967 graduate of Jackson High School. He was drafted in to the Vietnam War where he served with the 101st Airborne, Screaming Eagles as a Combat Soldier. He was awarded a bronze star for his service during the Vietnam War. Upon returning to Jackson, he was employed in the banking industry including First National Bank, National City Bank, and Atomic Employees Credit Union. He was last employed as a concrete finisher with Head Inc.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Gregory-Conley; son, Patrick Conley; granddaughter, Isabella Renee Conley; brother, Gerald (Patricia) Conley; sister, Kim Conley; special friends; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marsha Stone.

Calling hours were held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 12 to 2 p.m. the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services followed at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jack Hughes and John Daniels officiating. Burial was to follow at Downey-Conley Family Cemetery.
