Lorena M. Stephenson

By | February 8, 2018

Lorena M. Stephenson, 52, of Wellston, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 19, 1965, in McArthur, Ohio, daughter of the late James Russell Parker and Juanita M. Depue Parker, who survives. Coming from a large family (13 siblings), Lorena very much enjoyed being a caregiver. It was just who she was. She also tried to make sure others had everything they needed, even if that meant she went without. She enjoyed playing bingo, and buying-selling-and trading. Lorena will be missed by many.

In addition to her mother, Juanita, Lorena is survived by her daughters, Kelli Stephenson (Jonathon Robert Hively) and Courtney Johnston (Steven); “adopted” daughters, Candace Molihan and Holly Williams; grandchildren, Gabrella and Keegan; brothers, Jack Parker and Beau Parker; sisters, Ruby Caudill (Mark), Patty Parker, Dixie Parker, Sandy Kisor (Bill), and Betty Parker; stepchildren, Leah Cummings (Don) and Tim Nichols (Brenda); as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by infant sisters, Peggy and Shirley; brothers, John and Jim; sisters, Loretta Parker and Connie Thacker; sisters-in-law, Mary Parker and Juanita Delaney; as well as her husband, David Stephenson.

In keeping with Lorena’s wishes, her body was cremated. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
