David Preston Leach, Jr., 58, of Wellston, OH (formerly of Springfield), passed away on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017. He was born May 24, 1959, the son of David P. Leach, Sr. and Joann (Fremder) Leach. David loved the outdoors and he loved springtime. He called it the “season of rejuvenation”. He was a 1977 graduate of Springfield SHS and worked as a roofer most of his life. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include two children, Tyler Leach of Wellston and Brigit Murray of Springfield; his father, David P. Leach, Sr.; three sisters, Diana (Harold) Gray, Joy Jones, and Amy (Steve) Anderegg; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Tyler’s mom, Irene McKee, for being there and taking care of David in his final days. At David’s request there will be no services.
McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston, OH will handle the cremation. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice of Portsmouth, OH or the charity of your choice.
