April Dawn Jeffries Arthur, age 41, of Thurman, passed away Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born April 21, 1976 in Gallipolis, Ohio to Michael D. Jeffries and Debra L. Edgington Jeffries.
April was a 1994 graduate of Wellston High School and attended The University of Rio Grande. She was employed at A&A Truck Stop and was a former insurance agent for Grange Insurance in both Columbus and Jackson. April enjoyed spending time with and shopping with her daughter, and laughing with and being with her co-workers and customers.
She is survived by her parents, Mike and Debbie Jeffries of Thurman; daughter, Alexandria Arthur of Cincinnati; sister, Cristina Cline (Jim) of Thurman; brother, Michael Jeffries II of Thurman; niece and nephews, Michael Jeffries III and Nikkie and Dakota Blevins; as well as several aunts, uncles cousins and friends, including close friend, Tabby Howell of Wellston.
April was preceded in death by her very best friend and cousin, Mary Thacker; and grandparents, Carl and Mary Grace Jeffries and Raymond Edgington and Betty Trainer.
Calling hours will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Celebration of Life service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Lester and Grace Farley officiating. In keeping with April’s wishes, cremation will follow the service and private burial will be in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
