Larry Gene Murphy, age 72, of Jackson, passed away suddenly Friday, July 21, 2017 at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. He was born March 9, 1945 in Kentucky to Geraldine (Hall) Murphy, who survives, and the late Jay Murphy.
Larry had one son, one daughter, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was an active member of the Church of Christ. He will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Katherine Murphy.
Friends may call Monday, July 24, 2017 from 2-5 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. A funeral service will immediately follow at 5 PM with Minister Don Fouts officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Coalton. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com
