James W. Drake, age 77, passed away Thursday March 9, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born in Coalton, Ohio on March 8, 1940 to Lee and Susie (Tipton) Drake.
James was a prior resident of Columbus for twenty five years. He worked as a boiler operator and served in the United States Navy.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marcia (Shook) Drake, an infant child; his parents: Lee and Susie (Tipton) Drake, brothers: Paul, Bill and Fred Drake, sisters: Frances Sickles, Linda Thompson, Mary Clack.
James is survived by his son, Anthony “Tony” Drake, brother Harold Drake, sister Betty Dillon, granddaughter Tiffany and four great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral service will be held at the old Coalton Cemetery Saturday, March 18, at 1:00 P.M. Services are under the direction of the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to www.mayhew-brownfuneralhome.com
