Wilson Anthony “Jarvie” Roberts, age 88, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the Jenkins Care Community of Wellston, Ohio. He was born October 7, 1928 to the late John and Geneva (Shepard) Roberts.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth A. “Libby” (Butts) Roberts; stepfather, John Wastier and son-in-law, Dwight King.
He attended Grace United Methodist Church and was a member of Free and Accepted Masons, Trowel Lodge #132 and a member of the Carpenters Union, Portsmouth Local #437. He enjoyed bowling and camping.
He is survived by son, Mike (Jan) Roberts of Jackson and daughter, Susan King of Wheelersburg; brother, George Wastier; grandchildren: Tony (Missy) King, Tyson (Summer) King and Kelsey (Andy) Hendershot; great-grandchildren: Brock King and Turner King and several nieces and nephews.
No calling hours will be observed. Private graveside services will be held at convenience of family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Jackson County Humane Society, P. O.
