Shelley Marie Ousley Rowe, age 38, of Wellston, passed away Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017 at the Ohio State University Medical Center East in Columbus, Ohio. She was born April 14, 1978 in Chillicothe, Ohio to Paul Douglas Ousley and Vicki Diane Sowers Ousley.
Shelley was a 1996 graduate of Wellston High School. She was a registered nurse who received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Hocking College and her BSN from Indiana Wesleyan University. Shelley, an enthusiastic Ohio State Buckeyes fan, enjoyed spending time with her family, who was very important to her, as well as time at the baseball field with her “second family,” the Black Sox team.
She is survived by her husband, Jarrod Lee Rowe; step-children, Bailey and Janie Rowe; mother, Vicki Ousley of Wellston; father and step-mother, Doug and Jennett “Tweet” Ousley of Vinton; grandparents, Otis and Donna Sowers of Jackson; sisters, Amy Mullins of Wellston and Latasha Alvaro (Kristine) of Gallipolis; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lenny and Patty Gambill of McDermott; sisters-in-law, Kelly Payton (Mitch) of Minford and Kari Teeters of Waverly; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, including special niece and nephew, Brooklyn and Brenden Mullins. Shelley is also survived by numerous cousins and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Tim and Mary Agnes Ousley.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be held Monday at 4 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
