Harley W. Canode

Harley W. Canode, age 79, of Jackson, passed away Feb. 24, 2017 at Four Winds Nursing Facility. He was born Aug. 20, 1937 in Dexter, Ohio to the late John W. Canode and Sylvia G. Wiseman Canode. Harley was a former self-employed carpenter and attended the Wellston Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ann A. Wilbur Canode, whom he married on Feb. 20, 1955; sons, Denny (Robin) Canode of Jackson, Greg (Lisa) Canode of The Plains and Todd (Sarah) Canode of Clay City, Kentucky; siblings, Sally Dillow See of North Carolina, Jean Henry of Wellston and Dick Canode of Michigan; as well as four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Harley was preceded in death by sons, Kevin Canode and Keith “Buck” Canode and brothers, Tim Canode and Joe Canode.

Calling hours will be Friday, March 3, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday, 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with burial to follow at Hamden Cemetery.
