Betty Lorene Hall, of Oak Hill, passed away Saturday morning, Feb. 11, 2017 surrounded by her daughter, brother and sisters at her home. All of them provided loving care during Betty’s illness.

Betty was born on June 13, 1947 to Estel and Ethel (Rhoden) Hall and they preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Hall; two grandchildren, Richard and Eric Bays; and one great-grandson, Jakob Bays.

Betty was part of a large, loving family of six sisters and three brothers. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene Hall and Delbert Hall.

Her surviving siblings include her six sisters, Faye (Curtis) Jackson of Sycamore, OH; Anna Daniels of Jackson, OH; Evelene (John) Wooten of Jackson, OH; Irene (Jeff) Smith of Marion, OH; Helen (Monte) McCain of Oak Hill, OH; Jane (Tim) Goodman of Nevada, OH; and one brother, Roy Hall of Columbus, OH.

She will be missed by her sister-in-law, Rose Hall, her close nephew, Davin Wirebaugh who called her “Grandma,” and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and friend, Caroline. Her niece Ashley McCain also provided tireless care during Betty’s final days.

Betty worked hard all her life, spending many years at U-Brand Corp. in Upper Sandusky, Ohio and Guardian Glass in Upper Sandusky. Her story-telling of those days brought a smile and laughter to many family gatherings.

She was very generous with her time and money to her extended family, particularly with the young ones, frequently having sleepovers and providing an endless supply of snacks and treats.

Betty’s wishes were to be cremated and services will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson, OH.
