George C. Brown, age 60, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017 at his home. He was born June 16, 1956 in Wellston, Ohio, son of the late Merrill and Irene Knox Brown.
George was a former employee of OSCO Industries in Jackson. He enjoyed shooting pool, hunting, watching NASCAR and football games on TV, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Tasha Brown of Wellston; grandsons, Robert Blackstock and Shawn Baxter; sisters, Diane Glover of North Carolina, Kathy Kuhn of Glen Roy, Wanda Brown of Jackson, Judy Harris of Michigan and Susie Dempsey of Florida; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including special friends and caregivers, Anna Graves and Fred Milliken.
Besides his parents, George was preceded in death by his son, Travis Brown; and his brothers, Danny Brown, Randy Brown and Roger Brown.
Calling hours will be Saturday from 12 to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Heather Malott officiating.
