Walter Jackson, age 79, of Oak Hill, Ohio passed away Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017. He was born Jan. 21, 1937 to the late Floyd and Laura (Williams) Jackson.
He is survived by his children: Scott (Lee) Jackson of Wisconsin, Linda Jackson and Tim Jackson, both of Oak Hill, Ohio; grandchildren: Justin (Samantha) Jackson of Jackson, Ohio, Laura Jackson of Jackson, Ohio, and Cori Jackson of St. Louis, Missouri; five great-grandchildren; as well as long-time friend and companion, Norma Hammond; and siblings: Ora (Nancy) Jackson, Garnet Mollett, Virginia (Earl) Stanley, Ida Bell Franks, Pauline Jackson, Charles Jackson, and Anna (Thomas) Bayse.
In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by his siblings, James Jackson and Marilyn Jackson.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, Jan. 23, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill.
