John “Bernard” Oxier, age 69 of Wellston, passed away at his home on Thursday, December 15, 2016. He was born in Pike County, Ohio on July 4, 1947 to the late Rohnie and Neva (Brown) Oxier. Besides his parents, a sister, Christine Stapleton, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Eva (Harris) Oxier; a daughter, Rhonda Oxier; a brother, Ronald Oxier; and sisters: Thelma Frick, Wilma McDowell and Tressie Evans. Three grandchildren also survive.
The family will receive friends at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson on Wednesday, December 21, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Tim Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson.
