Thomas E. McKitterick, age 88 of Wellston, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Jenkins Care Community in Wellston. He was born in Jackson County on June 20, 1928 to the late John and Edith (Bolen) McKitterick. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers: Sam and John McKitterick, and sisters: Margaret Sneed and Wiladean Jordan.
He is survived by his wife, Oney (Crum) McKitterick, son, John McKitterick and daughters: Mona (Paul) Ervin and Edith (James) Smith. Also surviving are grandchildren: Kellie Neece, Jason Ervin, Amanda MCCreary and Jimmy Smith, along with 7 great-grandchildren.
Tom was a life-long resident of Jackson County. He drove truck for Davis Trucking for many years.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Neece officiating. Burial will follow in Coalton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, December 12 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
