Georgia Spencer Bennett

By | December 8, 2016

On Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, Georgia Spencer Bennett was taken from this world of pain and suffering to her heavenly home with all of her loved ones that had gone before her. She had her eyes and heart focused on this journey for many months, and looked forward to being once again without pain, and having her family and friends around her.

Georgia was a sweet person with a lovely smile and a twinkle in her eye. She loved her friends and family, who visited her frequently both at her home and at Four Winds. Georgia was compassionate, and always concerned about others. She often said how she “loved to share with others.”

Because she was a giving soul, she made sure she gave to those around her something that would bring a smile to their face, and always was looking forward to doing so. At the same time, this unselfish person was so grateful to anyone who did something for her, or offered a gift or gesture to lift her spirits higher.

Georgia suffered much, but offered no complaints – SHE WAS READY! She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Helen Lamson and sweet father, Dale Spencer. Waiting for her in heaven are brothers, Jack and Danny Spencer and her husband Thomas, as well as her beloved in-laws, Mary and Herbert Bennett. Georgia was looking forward to being with her sister-in-law, Bernadine Stockmeister, whom she treasured.

Georgia is survived by her brother, Larry Spencer of Enon, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews.

No calling hours will be observed. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are by the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home and Southern Ohio Cremation Services in Jackson.
