James Ray “Jimmy” Perry

James Ray “Jimmy” Perry, age 53, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the Four Winds Community in Jackson, Ohio following a long battle with leukemia. He was born July 29, 1963 in Oak Hill, Ohio to Delbert Eugene Perry, Sr. and Helen Mae Scarrett Perry.

Jimmy attended Wellston High School and Buckeye Hills Career Center. He was a former self-employed construction worker who, when his health permitted, enjoyed fishing and riding four-wheelers.

Jimmy is survived by his mother, Helen Perry of Wellston; wife, Tina Browning Perry; step-daughter, Latasha Browning of Michigan; brother and sister-in-law, Delbert E. Perry, Jr. and Sherry Perry of Wellston; step-mother, Evelyn Marie Perry of Wellston; best friend, Randy McClaskey of Wellston; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert E. Perry, Sr., and his son, Thomas E. Perry.

In keeping with Jimmy’s wishes, his body was cremated. Private burial will be in the Hamden Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com
