Earl Williams

Earl Williams, age 61, of Wellston, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016, at the SOMC Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was born July 9, 1955 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Roy Williams and Anna Mae Nichols Williams.

Earl was a 1973 graduate of Wellston High School. He was a former construction worker who had been an employee of Fannin Construction in Jackson for 20 years prior to his illness. Earl attended Freedom Chapel in Wellston and he enjoyed his guns and going target shooting.

Earl is survived by his wife of 36 years, Diana L. Mather Williams; siblings, Donna Stroth, Roy Williams, Jr. and Ethel Williams, all of Wellston, along with several nieces, nephews cousins and friends.

Besides his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his sister, Lura Nelson, and his in-laws, Gene and Doris Mather.

Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Perry Brafford officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
